The first time I experienced the feeling of having nowhere to go was in San Diego in 2004. Un reliable friendship is what led to this point. I remember my vehicle, a 1994 Infiniti G20. I got into a huge dilemma with one of my roommates and got kicked out of the house by the landlord because I was not on the lease. I gathered my belongings and drove to La Jolla Cove. I found a safe place to park and stayed in my car that night. A night that turned into roughly 3 weeks.

While going through my belongings I found a ticket to Oahu. I purchased the ticket in July, but I was so wound up, I completely forgot about it. This was a huge moment in my life because I had received a phone call from my lawyer that my settlement was completed from a near death experience from a car crash I was involved in. I was rear ended by a woman who was going 45 mph in a 25 zone and I was at a complete stop. The crash was a bummer, but the settlement was a blessing. Off to Oahu I go.
