I learned a valuable lesson this weekend. As of recent, there has been some turmoil in my extended family. I pray that things will turn out okay. It makes me realize how blessed I am for my parents. We’re not perfect, but definitely good people.

I don’t see myself different than anyone else. I see myself as a human being with flaws and imperfections. I don’t compare myself to anyone. Everyone has their path in life just like myself. Comparisons are judgements. God intends for us to be loving and compassionate. I hope that I am following the path intended for me.

I don’t consider myself a rockstar or some overbearing musician. I’m definitely not the greatest musician, singer or songwriter. All I can be is myself. I don’t like to boast about myself or accomplishments. I’m just grateful for opportunity. It’s good to stay humble and definitely a turn off being conceded.

Social media is a platform for me to share my music and writing. My intentions are to spread love through music. I do my best to keep my personal life private. My life isn’t a reality show for other’s enjoyment. I try to keep my opinions to myself. My publicist told me long ago to not express my views on politics. I’m glad she did because I see the current state of politics dividing people. It should be about unity.

Stay blessed,

Dylan
