Lately I have had people close to me needing my help. I am always willing to lend a helping hand. I guess they feel as though they can come to me because of the adversity I’ve dealt with. They know that I will not pass judgement against them. I have an open mind and know that regardless of what I’ve been through, someone has it worse.

I choose to believe that I am not my diagnoses. I am who I am perfectly imperfect. Regardless of what the doctors say, I am a human being. That is why I choose to live a life not afraid of what people think about me. We’re all different and that is what makes us unique in our own special way.

Money does not dictate one person better than another. I also believe money does not dictate success. It doesn’t matter what kind of home you live in or what kind of car you drive. We all deal with struggle in our own way. I choose love over possessions.

Materialism can be our greatest downfall. Don’t get sucked into the vacuum of riches and material wealth. Some people are just trying to survive. You may only see it on the news, but poverty is real. Somewhere right now, someone is just trying to find a clean glass of water or their next meal. Don’t take our luxuries for granted. Be thankful for what you have.
